In 1912, the Canadian Vickers Shipyard is established in Montreal on the banks of the St. Lawrence River. In 1920, it is declared perfect for assembling seaplanes, and later land planes. When a new plant is built in St, Laurent, land-based aircraft construction continues until 1984 under the Canadair name.     There are many full-page photographs to complement descriptions of the aircraft.
