The three writers who contributed to this book include a religious non-churchgoer, a Lutheran turned Catholic, and a United Church minister, who, over a two-year span, crossed Canada interviewing people about today’s Canadian Church. They sought out and listened to hundreds of people express their anger and hope.
They found people who had left the church, those who rejected “sin” being the cause of all ills. And some for whom the church had real relevance. Then there were congregations with original solutions to age-old problems.
“Interviews with hundreds of Canadians about today’s church are the roots of this book. This is real people talking from the heart … the future of the church in Canada. This book does not bring bad news and leave us hanging. It is full of hope.” CATHOLIC TIMES
“Insightful and enjoyable, a new vision of the community of faith.” ABQLA BULLETIN”
