In this sequel to Return to Orrock, Wilhelmina Hayes examines her life, faith and values that sustain her and her family. At 62, when her youngest leaves home, she feels worthless and struggles with depression. In trying to get herself back to a fulfilling and creative life, she recalls and records adversity and accomplishments. Her children and grandchildren are a constant help and joy, as she and Lloyd face new challenges in an older world.
Born in 1920 in Fifeshire, Scotland, she moved with her family to a farm in New Brunswick in 1928, where she would assume a new role when her mother died in 1933. Later, she would marry Lloyd and raise their family there. Return to Orrock, now out of print, tells this part of her story.
