LITTLE AUDREY

Author: Audrey Henders

Synopsis: Audrey Williams was born in Montreal in 1914 to a family of stepchildren. During her father’s illness and after his death (Audrey was two), her mother managed to support the family, at times sending the children to stay in other homes. In spite of hard times in the Depression, theirs was a loving life, with good friends and relatives. During the war, shy Audrey Williams married outgoing Tommy Taylor, and with their daughter, Marilyn, made their home in suburban Montreal. During the war and after, Audrey coped with family and health problems, worked and entertained friends. Tommy was the light of her life; but life is always full of surprises, such as Tommy’s untimely death and its aftermath.
